The globe theatre in london 1599, many plays by shakespeares play company the lord chamberlains men later known as the kings men in 1603 preformed here it was built on thomas brends land inherited by his son nicloas brend and grandson sir matter brend it was destroyed by a fire on the 29 th og june 1613. A replica of the globe theatre was built on 1614 and was closed in 1642. A few of the plays staged at the globe theatre were julius caesar, Macbeth, Othello, King Lear and Hamlet. The theatre was shared by many people, there were six share holders, two of them were the major share holders of 50% of the shares, together 25% of the shares each. The other four share holders only has a small amount each. The Globe theatre was built from wood surrounding the theatres. Henry the eighth set a fire to one of the wooden beams that the cannon misfried and ignited in flames. The second globe theatre was destroyed again to make room for tenements.
